Film Synopsis First Bloom，an original chinoiserie animated short film by female animation artist Tingting Liu, tells the story of the budding love between a servant and a princess in ancient China. Consisting of more than 4000 frames and cost more than 3500 hours, First Bloom brings traditional Asian-styled watercolor painting to life in a frame by frame digital animation, sheds light on the subtle female perspective and exquisite animating skill of Liu. Director Tingting Liu has participated in many world famous animation movie projects including Kubo and the Two Strings, Ice Age: Collision Course, Peanuts Movie, Rio 2, Cars 2. Now she is working as a leading animator in the oscar-winning rp facial department of Laika Studio.
